WHY?
Family Involvement in Children’s Overall Well-Being
Social-emotional development is foundational for all areas of learning and development and most importantly how all future development is built (Hunter & Blackwell, 2008). Children experience vital developmental tasks that establish the basis for their later socioemotional development from their very first day of life. Therefore, when their early experiences with family are emotionally supportive and developmentally sound, children can learn optimally and develop resilience for life (Williams & Lerner, 2019).
